On Memorial Day, May 27, 1972, the USS Utah Memorial was dedicated to the men who served and died aboard the Utah. Utah Senator Frank Moss said "at long last their courage and sacrifice are to be given the recognition they deserve."

The Memorial is a simple white platform that extends out toward the sunken remains of the Utah. The Memorial is located on the northwest side of Ford Island and, unfortunately, is inaccessible unless you have a military ID or have an escort.
